SSL License Provides Extra Security
.
We want information transmitted through your Adventist Church Connect website to remain secure, so the site now has an SSL, or secure sockets layer, license.

SSL secures data transferred through such activities as web browsing, email, and instant messaging, providing an additional layer of security by encrypting data to ensure safe information transfer between web servers and browsers. SSL is a standard encryption tool that is used by millions of websites around the world.

Without SSL encryption, your username and password travel across the Internet in full view. It is comparable to sending mail through the postal system in a clear envelope—anyone with access can see your data. If it looks valuable, they might take it or even change it. SSL helps you protect your information by sending in an electronic safe. The electronic safe can only be opened by the destination website.

There are no steps required to access this service and it won’t change any of your site’s functionality. It simply means that any information submitted or transactions completed on your Adventist Church Connect website cannot be stolen.

Because SSL keeps information transmitted through your site secure, it is not advisable to disable it. However, if you would like to disable your site’s SSL, click here to learn how.

We are excited about this improvement to the Adventist Church Connect network and are committed to keeping your site up-to-date with the latest security technology.
