Adventist Church Connect is easy to use, very flexible, and allows our church to stay connected. I’m not an Internet professional, but Adventist Church Connect has allowed me to look as if I am. If you understand how to use Microsoft word, you can definitely use Adventist Church Connect.
When a person enters into our site, they find links to hope. Through RSS feeds, daily devotionals, our prayer meeting information, sermons, and information about our book review groups, I use the website to get the message out that this is what we’re doing. I also appreciate the easy access to technical support that Adventist Church Connect provides.
I’m amazed to see how many people from various countries have visited our site. One of our members was in Iraq and was able to stay in touch with our church services while deployed. My son in military academy can view our worship service online.
The biggest benefit to my church is the savings of at least $400 a year on our previous web software that I can now use elsewhere for ministry. Other churches wanting a web ministry would greatly benefit from utilizing the Adventist Church Connect web solution.

The staff at Adventist Church Connect was knowledgeable and professional. They were responsive to the needs of a church our size. Now that we have a website, all of our departments are much more connected. One by one, department leaders are taking over the work on their area of the website. While just a few people worked on the setup, the goal is to have many people involved in the upkeep. More groups are involved in working on the website, and it’s really connecting the members.

The Internet is the yellow pages of the 21st century. People are seeking, and we need to give them something to find. If we don't provide it, someone else will. And Adventist Church Connect is free, so why not use it? The best decision the North American Division ever made was to give everyone a free website and provide updates. Our webmaster doesn’t have to do as much posting and updating as he did before. More people can do different parts of the website and that allows him to do less.

With Adventist Church Connect, I can update the website at any time and from any computer. I really like the flexibility. I have also noticed a major trend: websites increase evangelistic potential. “Connect” is really the key word, because websites connect people to the church. People can listen to services online and leave their prayer requests. This is a great way to increase membership.

I have two different sites for my two different churches, and the sites reflect the personality of the churches nicely. It’s great to be able to have something completely different for each. And I can accomplish all of this without knowing any HTML. There are good links to appropriate material that would interest people, aside from the local church information. The automatically updated content is also very helpful.

One thing that I like is the ability to easily pull in RSS feeds from different places. I’m using eGracenotes, along with other RSS feeds. I also appreciate the ability to edit the website from any computer. I do my own web editing and design for my personal website, but for that site I need to be at a specific computer to make updates. I can edit the Adventist Church Connect site at home or at church.

Here’s what I like about Adventist Church Connect sites:
- Being able to get the site up and running within a few hours—with much more information than it previously had.
- It’s easy to update the site.
- I like the fact that so much of my church can be involved. They can have as much or as little ability to edit as they need.
- It’s easy to switch between template designs, or I can design my own.
- I like the easy -to-use calendar - and how it automatically puts in the sunset time for my location.
- I like having automatic news on my site from other Adventist Church sites.
- I like the prayer request form and how it gives automatic Bible promises to those who submit requests.

I have appreciated the ease in which we could get started, and the support. Lonny has been really good at that. I like the flexibility—because it is so flexible and can be configured in so many different ways.
The speed of getting our site set up was very important to us. We even want to go beyond what we’re done so far. We just have a standard template now and we want to go to a custom one.
I would recommend Adventist Church Connect to other churches. It’s simple, easy quick, there’s a lot of content that you don’t have to worry about, and good support.
I particularly like the calendar function. That is very valuable. The calendar and the prayer modules are really nice features. I would really recommend those. People have used the prayer modules. It serves a valuable purpose. There are some people it really connects with.
